The New Years Eve Party at The Castle Of Muskogee was a great way to conclude the old year and ring in the new one.
The program listed three bands: a steel band, a blues band, and The Rogues of Scotland.
Funny, considering our renfaire bent, where we spent most of our time!
While the other bands were good, The Rogues were Excellent as always.
The party started at 9:00 PM and concluded at 1:00 AM. Well, it was supposed to conclude at 1:00 but really went on a little longer as The Rogues mounted the parapet to play a final song: "Amazing Grace".
In between, there was music, dancing, food, a champagne toast, balloon drop, fire works, more music, more dancing, a bit of kissing ... oh well, you will see it all in the pictures!
As usual, these are very low-resolution versions of the actual 500K to 1 meg .jpg pictures. If you want a particular one for some reason (like you are in it for instance, drop me an e-mail with the picture number (e.g. m0001001) and I will be happy to e-mail it to you.

Ida (my wifey) at the motel ready to head to the party. Note the tickets strategically placed for quick deployment at the gate! She even took along her pet "Y2K" bug.
A family at an adjacent table. The young lady on the right turned out to be quite a dancer.
Ida and a new acquaintance discussing whatever
Folks at the next table. We got to visit with them a lot. Very nice folks. Perhaps some will wind up on AFR!
Laura (?) a very talented dancer. She dances with so much energy that it made us tired just watching!
More of Laura.
Getting into the swing of things. Everyone is having a good time.
Ah, this must be a Bring Your Own Scot (BYOS) affair. Must be nice! Any more like him back home?
The Rogues start playing

... And play with the rattles

Of course there are CDs for sale. But they are out of the old style hats ... we bought the last three!

Slow Dancing to the pipes

Meanwhile on the OTHER stage, they were doing the limbo.

... So some of the rennies watched while The Rogues took a well deserved break

Hey Danicia! I'm still wearing the pin you gave me. Best wishes and a wonderful life to you and Shaggy!!!

Then outside to view the fireworks. They set them off REALLY close to the castle. The view was fantastic.
